We spent a day in Philadelphia. To be exact: we came there in the afternoon and left the next day at about 11 am. So this isn’t much time to explore a foreign city.
So we picked out a few things we wanted to see. The first one was the Liberty Bell. It was built in 1752 and only rang once before cracking. There were several tries to repair it without success.
The Liberty Bell is a very significant symbol for the entire democratic world.

Takling about Philadelphia one has to mention the Cheesesteak. It’s a sandwich made with thin sliced and grilled beefsteak and melted cheese in a hoagie roll. Best with sauteed onions topping! We really enjoyed it at Jim’s, although we had to wait in line for a while.
We also did a walk along South Street to Penn’s Landing – not just to see the rising moon but also THE bridge.
