New York Citaaaay đź—˝

This is the last stop of our journey. After driving 4746 miles from El Paso to New York we returned the car in Manhattan.

It did a good job and thanks to God we didn’t have any problems on our trip. Driving in Manhattan is funny. It was like swimming within hundreds of cars.

Very often you hear the honk of a car horn. That’s often caused by pedestrians, crossing the street even when the traffic light is red. Peds really rule this city.

Those four nights, we stayed in New York, were full of action, walking, stunning, taking tons of pictures … so that I will list and comment what we did. At the end you will see a kind a best of. Enjoy,

What to do when traveling to New York:

  • Walk along the Broadway and take a pic of the Flatiron Building
  • Take a walk through the Central Park – we did, when we were on the way to the
  • Metropolitan Museum of Art
  • Visit Washington Square Park and Union Square Park and watch people playing chess or backgammon
  • Look out for the Empire State Building
  • Did I mention Time Square – go there, day and night (which is day anyway cause of the neonlighted billboards)
  • Visit the Museum of Modern Art – unfortunately it was closed due to it changing the exhibition at the moment
  • Go to the World Trade Center Area and ground zero
  • Take a boat tour to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
  • Watch a musical – we all really enjoyed Mean Girls
  • Walk through the financial district and the Wall Street
  • Have some piiiiizzaaaa NY style (ergo, plain)
  • Ride the subway – express lines are awsome
  • Go to Harlem and listen to a gospel service – unfortunately it wasn’t Sunday
  • Visit the Guggenheim Museum
  • Go to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center and enjoy the greatest view of the city
  • Have some meat not wrapped in bread (ergo a NY strip)
  • Ride a cab and stun about the way they drive and honk – even if this is one of the last things you do before leaving

I was not sure about the title of this post. My daughter’s favorite:

Future home of my daughter! (Aka the home of the dopest TV shows on the littest network in the US, plus some of the greatest folks in the film industry – only they are the nice ones, and not the stuck up LA people)✌🏻🍎🗽
